Based on the data that I test of San Diego River, the water quality is medium. The legend that show on the website is if the score is between 50 and 70, then the water quality is medium. I think the water quality is medium because the of the amount of turbidity, total phosphate, BOD and nitrate levels because the quality values are super low. The quality values for those categories are 40 or less than 40. If the turbidity quality is at number 25, then that high levels of turbidity are bad. Small amounts of phosphates are bad for water, according to the q-value of that category. The only thing keeping the water quality at medium is the high values of pH, dissolved oxygen and fecal coliform. The low coliform levels contribute to the high quality value. pH being neutral, not acidic or basic also accounts for the high quality.
